H. M. Iftekhar Jaim, PhD: An Immigrant Scientist Working in Space Science & Building Community Sharing Life Experiences
The Founder’s philosophy of life is to integrate work and leisure to make the world a better place by actively pushing the technological limits of NASA and US Defense and helping a stranger struggling in a college. He believes in changes that come in consistent and continuous positive efforts.
Working full-time at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) gave him the opportunity to develop flight components for satellites. Previously, he critically contributed in samples launched to International Space Station (ISS). He worked in physics, chemistry, microfabrication and quantum computing during his PhD program. Dr. Jaim is also successful in the field of science and colonial-era war history. He has published articles in many high impact factor journals. Over the years, he has earned different national and international awards from National Science Foundation (NSF), top conferences, and universities for his remarkable research work.
Dr. Jaim’s expertise beyond academic research includes managing federal contracts,writing grant proposals, intellectual property (IP) development, industry standard lab management, taking part in hiring process, working in a start-up, commercializing products, serving professional societies and reviewing journals. He also served as a program coordinator for minority research scholarship program for a short period.
Dr. Iftekhar Jaim is actively engaged in science popularization, public speaking and supporting different non-profits to help the good causes of humanity. Dr. Iftekhar Jaim is a donor of Anti-Defamation League (ADL), The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Holocaust Museum, Boston & St. Jude Children’s Hospitals, and minority run both secular and multi-faith non-profits.
